API & AI

Connect your systems.
Run the store by talking.

MENU.IT exposes menus, sales and table status through an API. Connect an AI assistant and your team can run day-to-day operations in plain language — no admin screen needed.

API

What the API does

Read and write MENU.IT data from the POS, back-office or in-house app you already run.

Menu sync

Pull categories, menus and options — and receive only what changed. No need to re-fetch everything.

Menu updates

Create and edit items one at a time or in bulk, reorder them, and undo the last change.

Sales & orders

Daily, hourly and per-item sales totals, plus lookup of individual orders.

Live status

See which tables are occupied and how many parties are waiting.

Multilingual menus

Manage translations and menu images.

Store settings

Change break times, closing, pickup guidance and other operational settings.

SandboxA test environment that never touches live data. Use it while you build the integration.
No delete endpointTo stop selling an item you mark it sold out or hidden. Both are reversible.
WebhooksIn preparation. Ask us about timing.

AI

Run the store
by talking to an AI

MENU.IT ships an AI connector (MCP). Connect your store to Claude once, and you can operate it in conversation instead of opening the admin. Takes a few minutes, no code.

Things you can actually ask

We ran out of the pork cutlet today. Mark it sold out.

Reorder the lunch category by what sold best last month. Show me the order before you change it.

Costs went up — raise the whole mains category by 5% and round to the nearest dollar.

Translate just the ten best sellers into Japanese and Chinese first.

How did sales break down by hour last week, and what was table turnover?

Most of what the MENU.IT admin can do, you can simply ask for — searching menus, sold-out management, bulk price changes, reorganising categories, multilingual menus, options, photos, sales analysis and live table status.

SAFETY

Built so an AI
cannot break your service

Letting an AI touch live store data means the guardrails have to come first.

Nothing can be deleted

There is no delete capability at all. Ask it to "get rid of this item" and it is marked sold out or hidden — both reversible.

Bulk changes are confirmed first

Changing five or more items shows you the full list and waits for your confirmation.

Guest details never leave

The customer identifier used for order analysis is anonymous and store-specific. The same guest looks different at another store.

Payment and printer settings are off limits

Settings that would halt service if mis-set are not exposed to the AI.

Everything is logged

You can see what changed, when and how — and roll it back if needed.

You choose the scope

Permissions are picked at connection time. Read-only is a valid choice.

Let us scope your integration

Specifications and connection details are shared individually. Tell us which systems you want to connect, how many stores, and what you plan to do.
